As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Development Executive to join our growing team.
As a Senior Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing new client relationships, and expanding our presence across Western Canada. This role is heavily relationship-focused and requires someone who thrives in a client-facing environment. While virtual meetings are part of the role, we strongly value in-person meetings and relationship building whenever it makes the most sense for the client and opportunity.
You will work closely with our recruitment team to understand client hiring needs and deliver tailored recruitment solutions across permanent, contract, and executive search services.
Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry relationships
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including HR leaders, department heads, and executive teams
Conduct in-person client meetings whenever appropriate to strengthen relationships and better understand client needs
Understand client hiring challenges and effectively position recruitment solutions to support their business objectives
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets
Collaborate closely with internal recruitment teams to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction
Prepare and present proposals, service agreements, and client presentations
Negotiate and close new business opportunities while fostering long-term partnerships
Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity
Represent the company at networking events, conferences, and industry functions
Maintain accurate activity tracking and reporting through CRM systems
Requirements
Must currently reside in Calgary or Edmonton
Previous recruitment agency experience is required
Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within a recruitment agency or related professional services environment
Proven track record of generating new business and exceeding sales targets
Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
Comfortable conducting both virtual and in-person client meetings
Strong understanding of recruitment processes and talent acquisition strategies
Knowledge of the Western Canadian business landscape and key industries is considered a strong asset
Highly motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales tools
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required throughout Western Canada
