Job Description

Our client is seeking a driven and commercially astute Outside Sales Representative to support continued growth across Alberta, Yukon, and the Northwest Territories. This role is responsible for developing new business while strengthening existing client relationships within the heavy equipment and drilling sectors.

The successful candidate will represent industry-leading Comacchio and ABI equipment, delivering tailored solutions to contractors, developers, and infrastructure clients. This is a high-impact, field-based role suited to a self-starter who thrives on building relationships, identifying opportunities, and closing complex equipment sales.

This role requires 60-70% travel for face-to-face meetings with clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients while actively pursuing new business opportunities

  • Identify, qualify, and convert leads through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and industry engagement

  • Conduct on-site meetings, product demonstrations, and technical presentations to prospective customers

  • Assess client needs and recommend customized equipment solutions aligned with project requirements

  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM tools

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to effectively position product offerings

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline is considered an asset

  • Minimum 5+ years of sales experience within the heavy equipment, rental, drilling, construction, or related industry

  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a territory-based role

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to understand and effectively present technical products and solutions

  • Highly self-motivated with strong organizational and time management capabilities

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales reporting tools, experience with Pike Drive is an asset

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively (60–70%) across the territory
