Catch Recruitment is seeking an individual to fill an intricate role as Vice President & General Manger, Alberta Division. They must have experience with the intricate technical aspects necessary for operating a premier long-haul cross-border trucking enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • Be directly involved in setting and implementing the strategy that is needed to strengthen the operation and grow the business.

  • Have full P&L accountability for the Alberta division.

  • Be responsible for building a sustainable smooth-running operation, delivering exceptional customer service, and growing the business.

  • Continuously working toward building the teams, systems, and accountability structure.

  • Work through pricing network analysis, evaluating planning decisions.

  • Manage the drivers on-road safety & compliance.

  • Have the discipline to adjust pricing that is quick to adapt to a changing industry.

  • Establish a backbone of consistent customer service and a customer first culture that doesn’t say “no”

  • Comfortable holding people accountable while still developing positive team dynamics.

  • Develop a team of highly engaged, talented hungry leaders that trust each other, commit to a shared objective and are willing to make personal sacrifice to benefit the team.

  • Build an operation and culture that ensures exceptionally consistent delivery of our customer service promise.

Requirements

  • 5-10 year’s experience in leadership role.

  • 5-10 year’s experience in transportation.

  • Prior experience in sales or entrepreneurship.

  • Financial aptitude to understand basic profit model and reading financial statements and assist with freight pricing.

  • Analytical skills to investigate and drill down into detailed operational reports.

  • Highly effective with technology, with creativity in how to drive deeper implementation including (and well beyond) basic M365 products.

  • Extremely high capacity for multitasking, fast changing priorities, and adversity.

  • Ability to connect with a wide range of people, builds trust to motivate and influence behaviour.

  • The ability to learn technical details about the various elements of a trucking business is mandatory.

  • Need to be extremely hungry and driven to win.
