Job Description
Our client, a leading residential property management organization, is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to oversee the full-cycle accounting for their Single-Family Division. This role will serve as the financial lead for a growing portfolio and will work closely with leadership to ensure timely, accurate reporting that supports operational decision-making. This is a high-impact position for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead the full-cycle accounting process for a portfolio of single-family residential properties
Act as the primary financial liaison for the Single-Family Division, working directly with operations teams
Maintain accurate and timely financial records including month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives
Track and manage property-level transactions and financial data
Collaborate with property managers, tenants, and vendors to support accounting operations
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and audit requirements
Requirements
3–5+ years of full-cycle property accounting experience (residential experience preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Proficiency with Buildium or similar property management/accounting software
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally
