Environmental Project Manager (Reclamation)
Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Environmental Project Manager with a strong technical background in reclamation. This role is based in Calgary and offers the opportunity to lead and support projects across Western Canada. You'll work alongside a collaborative team of environmental scientists and engineers who are passionate about site closure and sustainable environmental solutions.

Responsibilities:
Design and manage reclamation programs for upstream oil and gas clients, including scope and budget development, cost tracking, and field coordination
Conduct Detailed Site Assessments (DSAs) and Reclamation Site Assessments
Track post-reclamation progress and manage closure milestones
Prepare and sign off on Reclamation Certificate Applications and technical reports
Stay current with evolving environmental legislation and regulatory updates
Mentor and train junior staff while ensuring safety and quality standards
Participate in improving internal processes and procedures
Support occasional field visits (note: this is not a field-based role)
Requirements
A degree in Agrology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Land Reclamation, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years' experience in reclamation work across Western Canada
Strong writing and communication skills with experience in regulatory documentation
Solid understanding of oil & gas reclamation programs, budgeting, and project management
Eligibility for professional designation as required by AER for reclamation sign-off
Valid Class 5 driver’s license
