Environmental Project Manager (Reclamation)

Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Environmental Project Manager with a strong technical background in reclamation. This role is based in Calgary and offers the opportunity to lead and support projects across Western Canada. You'll work alongside a collaborative team of environmental scientists and engineers who are passionate about site closure and sustainable environmental solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage reclamation programs for upstream oil and gas clients, including scope and budget development, cost tracking, and field coordination

  • Conduct Detailed Site Assessments (DSAs) and Reclamation Site Assessments

  • Track post-reclamation progress and manage closure milestones

  • Prepare and sign off on Reclamation Certificate Applications and technical reports

  • Stay current with evolving environmental legislation and regulatory updates

  • Mentor and train junior staff while ensuring safety and quality standards

  • Participate in improving internal processes and procedures

  • Support occasional field visits (note: this is not a field-based role)

Requirements

  • A degree in Agrology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Land Reclamation, or a related field

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in reclamation work across Western Canada

  • Strong writing and communication skills with experience in regulatory documentation

  • Solid understanding of oil & gas reclamation programs, budgeting, and project management

  • Eligibility for professional designation as required by AER for reclamation sign-off

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
