A leading general contractor in British Columbia is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to join their dynamic team. About the Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will take full ownership of complex ground-up builds, from design and pre-construction through to turnover and close-out. You will be entrusted with managing budgets, schedules, quality standards, and client relationships, ensuring that each project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.
This role is ideal for a seasoned construction leader who thrives on accountability and enjoys mentoring others while driving large, multi-stakeholder projects forward. You will be a trusted partner to clients and consultants, a leader to project teams, and a key contributor to the company’s continued success in the B.C. market.
Responsibilities:
Provide full project leadership from design and pre-construction through to turnover, close-out, and deficiency resolution.
Oversee project planning and execution with a focus on schedule adherence, budget control, and quality assurance.
Lead the selection, negotiation, and management of sub-trades, consultants, and suppliers to ensure alignment with project goals.
Monitor and maintain detailed project reporting, including progress updates, financial tracking, and risk management.
Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to deliver best-in-class results.
Drive continuous improvement in project delivery, identifying efficiencies and implementing best practices.
Requirements
10+ years of progressive experience as a Senior Project Manager overseeing ground-up commercial and industrial builds.
Proven track record managing concrete tilt-up construction and large-scale projects across B.C.
Strong knowledge of local building codes, permitting processes, and industry regulations.
Professional certifications such as PMP required; MBA considered an asset.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple stakeholders, and resolve conflicts effectively.
Results-driven leader with proven ability to set ambitious targets and achieve them.
Highly skilled in problem-solving, risk mitigation, and decision-making under pressure.
Recognized for integrity, humility, and ethical leadership, ensuring quality without compromise.
