The Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Development Manager to join a high-performing team that’s passionate about building vibrant rental communities and making a positive difference. In this role, you’ll be responsible for analyzing new opportunities, managing development projects throughout their full lifecycle, and ensuring successful execution from acquisition through to construction and divestment.
Responsibilities:
Analyze new development opportunities and support the company’s strategic growth.
Conduct research on market trends, building and unit types, and evolving product specifications.
Manage all aspects of the development process, ensuring permits and approvals are obtained on schedule.
Oversee regulatory compliance, bonding, deposits, and related documentation.
Ensure drawings and specifications are complete and ready for construction.
Coordinate with consultants, owners, and other stakeholders to resolve construction-related issues.
Prepare and present regular project status updates and reporting.
Assist with project budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking.
Support project workload and assignments based on business priorities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
2–3 years of experience in a Development Manager role.
At least 2 years of relevant experience across planning, engineering, construction, and approval processes for wood-frame, multi-family projects.
Strong educational background in a related field.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with approving authorities, consultants, architects, and contractors.
Excellent organizational and technical skills, including proficiency in CAD software, Adobe, Microsoft Project, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Experience managing all aspects of development, including budget preparation, design development, municipal approvals, and construction oversight.
Strong negotiation, diplomacy, and conflict resolution skills.
Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across departments and teams.
Willingness to travel to site locations and work occasional overtime as required.

Salary Range: $95,000 – $120,000 (based on experience).
