Facilities Manager - Calgary, AB

Job Description

Our client is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead the execution of capital and maintenance projects across facilities and pipeline infrastructure. This role will oversee projects from initial concept through to completion, working closely with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving project execution, supporting operational performance, and ensuring compliance across a dynamic and technically complex environment. Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of facilities and pipeline projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory and industry standards

  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans

  • Oversee project scope, procurement, and resource allocation

  • Act as a key point of contact for internal teams, contractors, and regulatory stakeholders

  • Provide regular project updates and communicate risks, timelines, and progress

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient project delivery

  • Manage project budgets and financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost optimization

  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on delivery

  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards

  • Oversee commissioning and handover processes to operations teams

  • Support asset integrity programs, including inspection, monitoring, and lifecycle management of infrastructure

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related discipline)

  • 10+ years of experience in project management within the oil and gas industry

  • Strong experience with facilities and pipeline construction, upgrades, and asset integrity programs

  • Proven ability to manage large, multidisciplinary projects from initiation through completion

  • Strong understanding of Alberta regulatory requirements and industry standards

  • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and resource management

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders

  • Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera

  • PMP designation and additional safety certifications considered assets
