Litigation Legal Assistant

The Litigation Legal Assistant will provide high-level administrative and legal support to lawyers within the Litigation group. This role requires an experienced, detail-oriented, and proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, client-service-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily administrative activities, including calendar and email management, scheduling, and travel coordination.

  • Prepare, revise, and format correspondence and legal documents from dictation, instructions, or precedents.

  • Maintain an organized bring-forward system, ensuring deadlines and court timelines are met.

  • Coordinate and file court documents electronically and in person when required.

  • Liaise with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel professionally and efficiently.

  • Assist with monthly billing, docket entry, and expense processing.

  • Maintain physical and electronic filing systems in compliance with firm standards.

  • Provide back-up support to other assistants and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, with at least 1 year in Litigation.

  • Completion of a recognized Legal Assistant Diploma or Certificate program.

  • Strong understanding of civil and commercial litigation procedures and court processes.

  • Proficiency with MS Office 365, iManage DMS, and Adobe Pro.

  • Exceptional organization, time management, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment with accuracy and professionalism.

  • Collaborative, adaptable, and proactive work ethic with strong attention to detail.
