Outside Sales Representative - Edmonton

Job Description

Our client is a leading Canadian distributor of pumps, compressors, integrated systems, and related process equipment. With a strong national footprint and a reputation built on service excellence, they support customers across oil and gas, municipal, mining, fire protection, and industrial sectors.

They are seeking a full-time Outside Sales Representative in Edmonton responsible for promoting, maintaining, and expanding market presence. The successful candidate will focus on driving growth in rotating equipment sales, building long-term relationships, and identifying new business opportunities across the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sales & Business Development
    • Promote products and service capabilities through ethical, relationship-focused sales practices
    • Identify and develop new business opportunities to meet sales targets
    • Gather competitive and market intelligence regularly
    • Maintain a strong presence with clients through regular visits and proactive outreach
    • Respond to client inquiries and identify solutions to support their operational needs
    • Prepare proposals, quotes, and presentations

    Account Management
    • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key accounts
    • Ensure customers are informed on product scope, service offerings, and new innovations
    • Track and forecast sales metrics (monthly, quarterly, annually)
    • Manage account information in Salesforce
    • Monitor customer satisfaction and ensure service delivery expectations are met

Requirements

  • • 5+ years of experience in rotating equipment sales, repairs, or equivalent technical sales
    • Strong understanding of upstream/midstream and industrial markets
    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
    • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts with strong attention to detail
    • Technical aptitude and ability to interpret technical documentation
    • Service-oriented mindset and a solutions-focused approach
