Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a Project Manager in Lethbridge to oversee documentation, scheduling, direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of assigned projects. This role requires working closely with Superintendents, Project Management teams, clients, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 

Responsibilities:

  • Be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of the project including the project plans, specifications,

    and project documents

  • Be responsible for production and cost reporting analysis

  • Work with the Regional Operations Manager to assign project personnel

  • Develop, monitor, update and communicate the project progress schedule

  • Review the project schedules with the Regional Operations Manager and Superintendents

  • Review, authorize and approve payment of vendor and subcontractor invoices

  • Organize and oversee the jobsite administration and clerical staff

  • Coordinate equipment needs with the Superintendent and the Regional Operations Manager

  • Ensure safety policies and safe work practices are implemented at the project

  • Immediately stop and correct safety and/or environmental violations or infractions in the workplace

  • Manage subcontractor schedules and quality of work

  • Establish and maintain a professional relationship with the Owner, Project Engineers, local businesses, and police and fire departments

  • Have a working knowledge of the duties of the Superintendents and Foreman and assist them as

    required

  • Gather and review daily jobsite reports

  • Organize change orders and claims with the assistance of the Manager of Project Management

  • Conduct all meetings with the Owner and subcontractors

Requirements

  • P.Eng, CET or 5+ years related industry experience. Other combinations of experience and

    education may be considered

  • Experience reading and understanding blueprints, specifications, schedules and costing reports is required

  • Thorough understanding of construction process, environmental regulations and safety practices is required

  • Previous experience using B2W software an asset

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Negotiation, influence and adaptability skills

  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills

  • Attention to detail
