Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Production Accountant to join our client’s team in Calgary. Reporting to the Production Accounting Manager and collaborating with senior production accountants, this role is ideal for a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.The successful candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of oil and gas production accounting and financial accounting processes. Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Full cycle production accounting on several Alberta operated and non-operated oil and gas properties.

  • Production verification, pipeline splits, revenue, and royalty accounting.

  • Government reporting (Petrinex).

  • APMC Reconciliation.

  • EPAP and PAD analysis.

  • Amendments and reworks.

  • A/R reconciliation.

  • Analysis and ad-hoc special projects.

  • Development planning through communication with asset teams to effectively design, plan

    and budget projects.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent with Metrix production accounting software, Qbyte FM, general financial accounting and reading CS Land well abstracts.

  • Knowledge of market masters, royalty calculations (including TIK royalties), unit agreements and facility charges
